Creativa Archive

During my eight years as Creative Director at Creativa in Melbourne, I focused on developing both the work and the people behind it. I also played a key role in the studio’s growth, helping expand its reputation and client base beyond low-cost corporate video production to deliver hundreds of animation projects for agencies, brands and government clients.

Sherazade The Untold Stories

An ambitious and complex multi-stakeholder, international 26 episode TV series. As a director I was the creative interface between production teams across Australia, Germany and India. A co-production between Chocolate Liberation Front, Hahn Film and Toonz Animation, for broadcasters Channel 10 and RBB, funded in part by Screen Australia, VicScreen and SAFC.

Saladin

Malaysia’s first 3D animated 26 episode TV series was uncharted territory for a range of stakeholders and emerging technologies. As director I provided a grounded creative base from which a team of producers, writers, artists, designers and animators crafted this complex series. Saladin was a flagship government project to accellerate Malaysia’s digital economy, co-produced by MDEC (Malaysian Govt.) and Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (Doha).

I co-founded Malaysian Studios Fat Lizard and Persistence Of Vision (POV)which created TV commercials for clients across SE Asia, and Animated TV series service work for the USA and Canada.
